We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Helping with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure personalised care delivery
- Driving clients to appointments or outings when required, maintaining a clean driving record
- Following health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy are essential for building trusting relationships with clients
