About the Role
Working within a busy food production and distribution environment, you will play a key role in ensuring products are stored, moved and prepared efficiently for customer despatch. This is a fast-paced position requiring safe forklift operation, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards throughout the warehouse.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Reach Truck to move, store and retrieve palletised stock throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently while following safe working practices.
- Put stock away into designated racking locations and replenish picking locations as required.
- Prepare customer orders accurately for despatch, ensuring pallets are built securely and wrapped to a high standard.
- Follow stock rotation procedures to ensure product quality is maintained.
- Complete daily forklift safety inspections and report any defects immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and loading bay.
- Assist with manual warehouse duties when required to support operational demands.
- Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to achieve daily productivity targets.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Undertake any additional warehouse duties as reasonably requested.
Experience Required
- A valid Reach Truck Licence is essential.
- Previous experience operating a Reach Truck within a warehouse environment is essential.
- Previous experience within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution operation.
- Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to support warehouse operations when required.
Salary: £14 per hour
