We are excited to announce we have a new branch of Sear’s Pizza opening in Edinburgh, a high-quality pizza takeaway based in the heart of Marchmont, Edinburgh. Known for our handcrafted New York pizzas made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, we pride ourselves on delivering consistently excellent food and customer service.. We’re now looking for a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef to join our growing kitchen team.
Role Overview
As a Pizza Chef, you’ll play a key role in preparing and cooking our pizzas to a consistently high standard. You’ll be involved in dough preparation, topping assembly, and oven operation, while also ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough and sauces daily to recipe standards
- Cook pizzas in a fast-paced environment with attention to quality and presentation
- Ensure food hygiene and safety procedures are always followed
- Keep your station clean, organised, and fully stocked
- Support kitchen prep tasks as needed (e.g. chopping, prepping sides, cleaning)
- Monitor stock levels and communicate low stock to the supervisor or manager
- Maintain a high level of consistency and speed during busy service times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a pizza chef or cook in a fast-paced kitchen (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- A genuine passion for great food and quality ingredients
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (or willingness to obtain)
