We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join our dedicated team at Lyth Hill Nursery in Shrewsbury.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong early years professional looking to take the next step in their career, supporting the Nursery Manager in leading a high-quality setting and ensuring the very best outcomes for children.
What we’re looking for:
- A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within a nursery setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding childcare and early education
- A proactive, positive, and team-focused approach
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver high-quality care and learning
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements
- Support staff development, supervision, and training
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals
- Step in to lead the nursery in the Manager’s absence
