We’re looking for an experienced Roofer to support domestic solar PV installations. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role suited to someone practical, safety‑focused, and confident working at height within occupied residential properties.
As part of the role, you will be paired with one of our Electricians, attending customer sites together to complete roof‑based installation and service work. This is a field‑based role covering the North East, and due to route planning and customer locations, applicants must already be living in Newcastle, Sunderland, Teesside, or surrounding areas to ensure efficient travel and daily team coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install roof‑mounted solar PV systems, ensuring panels, rails, and fixings are fitted safely and securely
- Work professionally within domestic properties, maintaining a courteous and customer‑focused approach
- Follow all on‑site health & safety procedures, including use of PPE and safe working at height
- Complete basic installation notes and communicate effectively with the wider team
- Carry out roof‑based maintenance and minor repair tasks as required
- Work closely with your paired Electrician to deliver safe, efficient installations
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Roofer (domestic and/or commercial)
- Experience Solar Installation
- Strong understanding of roofing structures, materials, and safe working practices
- Confident working at height and using roof‑based access equipment
- Must be currently living within Newcastle, Sunderland, Teesside, or nearby areas Willing to work a 50‑hour per week contract
- Full UK driving licence < 6 points
Desirable
- Solar PV Experience Desirable
- Relevant roofing or construction certification (e.g. CSCS, Working at Height, PASMA, or similar)
