About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop the nursery team.
- Ensure compliance with all EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a high-quality Montessori learning environment.
- Build strong partnerships with children, families, and the local community.
- Oversee staffing, recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Manage occupancy, budgets, and nursery operations effectively.
- Prepare for and lead inspections with confidence.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and child-centred culture.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum).
- Previous experience in a nursery leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing.
Desirable:
- Montessori qualification or experience working within a Montessori setting.
- Level 5 qualification in Early Years Leadership and Management.
- Experience of achieving Good or Outstanding inspection outcomes.
