Summary
We are seeking a Supervisor in Padstow to join our creative team. This role is vital in overseeing daily operations and maintaining our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The position is based in Padstow, contributing to our mission of delivering personalized fashion.
Not your average supervisor role. As a Goose & Gander Store Supervisor, you're the engine room of the shop floor - keeping the team sharp, the store running, and the customer experience consistently brilliant. You'll lead by example, hold the G&G standard, and be the go-to link between your team and HQ.
What you'll do
Lead the floor
· Own the daily rhythm of the store: open up, assign roles, brief the team on targets, and keep energy high throughout the day.
As a supervisor you will be expected to have the above in place for when you are not working, with light touch check-ins. Ensure a keyholder can open on time, the team working understand their responsibilities for the day (briefed the day before).
· Be the point of contact between your team and HQ, making sure communication flows both ways clearly and quickly.
· Step in where needed: from a fitting room queue to a tricky customer conversation, you set the tone.
Keep the team running
· Build and manage the weekly rota, ensuring the store is always appropriately staffed across opening hours, peak periods, and events.
· Coordinate cover for sickness and last-minute absences, keeping disruption to a minimum.
· Support onboarding of new team members and help them hit the ground running with G&G standards from day one.
Drive performance
· Make sure every team member understands their targets - daily, weekly, and campaign-specific - and knows their role in hitting them. Work closely with HQ to understand the store KPI’s.
· Track performance throughout the shift and coach the team in the moment; celebrate wins, address gaps.
· Report sales performance, staffing updates, and any operational issues to HQ promptly and clearly.
Hold the G&G standard
· Maintain visual merchandising, stock replenishment, and presentation standards always.
· Ensure till procedures and stock processes are followed accurately by all team members.
· Keep the store environment safe, clean, and brand-right - always.
· Help implement any store changes, whether that be visual merchandising or process led change.
Be the brand
· Lead with the G&G attitude: warm, knowledgeable, never salesy.
· Champion community-building on the floor: email sign-ups, loyalty opt-ins, social engagement - and keep the team motivated to do the same.
· Carry the brand story and pass it on; you're not just running the store, you're growing it.
What success looks like (your KPIs)
· Store always appropriately staffed with rotas planned and communicated in advance
· Team briefed and clear on targets and daily roles at the start of every shift
· Sales targets understood, tracked, and fed back to HQ accurately
· VM and operational standards upheld consistently across the floor
· Positive team environment and low day-to-day escalations to HQ
· Customer experience metrics maintained at G&G standard
You'll thrive if you're
· A natural leader: You bring calm authority without losing warmth — people follow your lead.
· A clear communicator: Equally comfortable briefing a team at 9am and reporting to HQ at close.
· Operationally sharp: Rotas, targets, stock processes — you handle the detail so others can focus on the floor.
· A problem-solver: When something goes sideways, you sort it without drama.
· Brand-invested: You get what makes G&G different and you protect that on every shift.
· People-first: You know your team, you back them, and you help them be their best
