We are currently seeking two reliable and hardworking Site Cleaners to join our team and help maintain exceptional hygiene standards across our warehouse, offices and staff facilities.
Role Overview
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the entire site, including food packing areas, warehouse facilities, offices, canteens, welfare areas and toilets.
This is a physically active role requiring attention to detail, reliability and a strong commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
Weekend working is an essential part of this role due to our operational requirements and food packing activities which take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Food Packing Areas
- Clean and sanitise food packing areas.
- Clean packing benches, equipment and workstations.
- Sweep, mop and maintain warehouse floors.
- Remove waste and recycling.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in storage areas.
- Ensure cleaning procedures comply with food safety requirements.
- Report maintenance or hygiene concerns immediately.
Offices & Welfare Areas
- Vacuum and clean office areas.
- Dust desks, furniture and surfaces.
- Empty bins and replace liners.
- Clean internal glass and doors.
- Maintain meeting rooms and communal areas.
Staff Facilities
- Clean and sanitise toilets and washrooms.
- Replenish soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
- Clean and disinfect sinks, taps and touch points.
- Clean and maintain staff canteen facilities.
- Ensure welfare facilities remain clean and presentable throughout the day.
General Duties
- Follow cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Complete cleaning records and checklists.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Support deep cleaning activities as required.
- Assist with site cleanliness during audits and inspections.
Person SpecificationEssential
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of undertaking cleaning duties.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work weekends.
Desirable
- Previous industrial cleaning experience.
- Experience cleaning food production or food packing facilities.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP principles.
- COSHH awareness.
- Previous experience using cleaning machinery.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position.
Operational requirements include:
- Monday to Friday working.
- Weekend working on Saturdays and Sundays as required.
- Flexibility to support cleaning requirements around packing and dispatch operations.
Specific shift patterns will be discussed during interview.
