Established since 2000 ABC Travel Group is a dominant player within Berkshire. We transport SEN children to and from school, our fleet consists of cars, MPVs, Minibuses and Wheelchair mobility vehicles.
The work can be varied with both Private Hire, School contracts and Airport Transfers to cover.
ABC Travel group are the largest operators in Reading & Wokingham, leading the way in School transport contracts.
We are approved and operate contracts for Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Windsor & Maidenhead Councils.
Minibus Drivers- Mini Coach Drivers in Berkshire Area.
Part time and Full time and Ad-Hoc positions available.
We are looking for both Minibus drivers who have a "D1" Licence. (no more than 3 points).
Applicants must be Professional, Reliable, Punctual and Courteous and in return, successful candidates will be paid between £13-£15 per hour.
You must hold a valid D1 or D License, CPC & Tacho card. We can help with applying for these licences.
We are seeking a reliable and professional PSV Driver to join our team on a part-time, full-time, or ad hoc basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in commercial vehicle operation, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves delivering passengers efficiently while maintaining high safety standards and providing exceptional service to clients. The position offers flexibility to suit various scheduling needs and is integral to our logistics operations.
Duties
- Safely operate PSV vehicles, including passenger service vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle, including mechanical inspections and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Transport passengers to designated locations in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage where necessary
- Maintain accurate records of journeys
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding schedules or any issues encountered during routes
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained throughout shifts
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving with PSV.
- Strong driving skills
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
