Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner - Level 3 to join a
vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children.
- Supervise children during play, mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure their safety at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safeguarding standards.
- Lead by example in promoting inclusive practices and a respectful environment that celebrates diversity.
- Assist in organising nursery events and parent meetings to keep families informed about their child's progress.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery’s curriculum by sharing innovative ideas and best practices.
Requirements
- Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education.
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide and motivate team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise confidently with parents and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a proactive approach to individual responsibilities.
- Knowledge of current safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and early years frameworks.
- Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- A caring attitude with genuine enthusiasm for working with children to support their growth and development.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between nursery locations or community visits. Pay: £28,420.00-£33,734.78 per year
