MOBILE PLANT OPERATOR/ARTICULATED DUMPER
REPORTING TO: Quarry Manager
Start 13th March for site induction, vehicle awareness and general discussions
£13.00 - £15.00 per hour
PURPOSE
Mobile plant operators are directly responsible for the safe and proper operation and basic maintenance of any site machinery in their control. To maintain consistent production flow by moving raw materials between keys stages of the Quarry operation. To ensure safe and efficient site operations whilst following all Brice Aggregates company and regulatory standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Operate a 30T articulated dumper safely and effectively
· Support daily site operations including loading, moving and handling materials
· Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment
· Follow all site health and safety procedures
· Assist with general site duties as needed
· Effectively reporting defects and issues with plant machinery and equipment to site Supervisor
· Keeping effective communication with Supervisor and other Operators
· Ensure all company procedures are always followed, with special focus on Health, Safety & Environmental control
· Report all accidents and incidents in accordance with company rules, assisting with specific investigations as appropriate
REQUIREMENTS
· Hold a valid NPORS/CPCS/MPQC mobile plant licence
· Able to follow precise instructions
· Enjoy practical and manual activities.
· The ability to understand, follow and apply policies, practices and operating procedures.
EXPERIENCE
· Experience of working in a Quarry environment.
· Mobile plant operation and maintenance.
· Previous experience of operating large Quarry mobile plant such as Loading Shovels, Excavators, Dump Trucks, Bulldozer, Roller & Tractors
· Full driving Licence.
