We are seeking an experienced and friendly Bar Supervisor to assist our management team and oversee day-to-day operations within our craft beer bar and bottle shop.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of craft beer. As a Supervisor you will be expected to open and close shifts, assist with training our team, serve drinks and engage with customers, and ensure all safety and cleaning protocols are carried out. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and work in one of the biggest and most exciting craft beer venues in London.
Previous experience in a pub or bar is essential, along with supervisory experience in a hospitality or retail setting.
In addition to day-to-day bar responsibilities, this role will also support the planning and delivery of events at Beer Merchants Tap. Working alongside and with the support of the Marketing Manager, you’ll help ensure everything is prepared and running smoothly for trade tastings, tap takeovers, brewery launches and other events throughout the year.
The role will also involve assisting with Beer Merchants Tap’s social media presence. With guidance and support from the Marketing Manager, this includes helping capture and create content, ensuring events are promoted in advance, and supporting the creation and scheduling of regular content across our social channels. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager to build and maintain a calendar of content that reflects everything happening at the venue.
Previous experience with social media or events is beneficial, but not essential. A willingness to learn, confidence engaging with customers and breweries, and enthusiasm for craft beer culture are far more important.
