CHEF DE PARTIE- The Dog Peover
The Dog Peover is an independent award winning Pub Restaurant in the heart of Cheshire countryside which offers a high end traditional cuisine. Over its long history, The Dog Peover has been stamped as one of the best places to eat in Cheshire. Ultimately, we are looking for a Sous who is looking support our head chef to put his or her own twist on our seasonal menus and manage the kitchen to achieve continuing success.

Job Role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. As a key part of the brigade, you'll be responsible for the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes in line with our standards and time requirements. You'll work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure consistency, creativity, and excellence across all sections of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present dishes according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
- Maintain high food quality and hygiene standards throughout food preparation and storage
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with recipe development, kitchen organisation, and smooth daily operations
- Ensure all food safety, cleanliness, and allergen procedures are followed accurately
- Monitor stock levels, reduce food waste, and support efficient cost control
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines
- Assist with training and mentoring junior team members as needed
We’d love you to have:
- Previous experience in a Chef de Partie role or similar within a busy kitchen environment
- Familiarity with our cuisine style and a passion for delivering top-quality food
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
- A willingness to learn, grow, and take ownership of your section
- An understanding of kitchen processes, food margins, and cost controls
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with pride in your work
- Availability for full-time hours and flexibility to work varied shifts
