About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and learning difficulties.
You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support that helps pupils feel safe, engaged and confident in school.
This is a varied and highly rewarding role where you may support students 1:1, in small groups, or within the classroom.
Your Role Will Include:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Helping students access learning in the classroom
- Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Assisting the class teacher with lessons and classroom support
- Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement
- Helping create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils with additional needs to reach their full potential
