Job Title: Operations Manager – Commercial Cleaning
Location: Belfast (with travel to multiple client sites)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year, depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Due to continued growth, we’re looking to appoint an Operations Manager to help drive and support our commercial cleaning services across Northern Ireland. This role offers the chance to join a developing team at an exciting stage, with plenty of scope to make an impact in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial cleaning contracts. You’ll manage teams across multiple sites, ensuring exceptional service delivery, high standards, and strong client relationships giving you the opportunity to make a real impact in a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support cleaning teams to deliver consistently high standards
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple commercial cleaning contracts
- Conduct site visits, audits, and staff performance checks
- Manage rotas, holidays, absences, and cover to ensure full staffing
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, resolving issues quickly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety standards
- Train and onboard new staff
- Complete all reporting and compliance documentation efficiently
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 2 years’ people management/supervisory experience in commercial cleaning
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Confident using digital tools for scheduling, reporting, and communication
- Excellent communication and client-facing professionalism
- Experience managing multi-site cleaning contracts
Desirable Criteria
- Relevant industry qualifications such as BICSc, City & Guilds, or NVQ in Cleaning Management (Desirable but not essential)
- Health & Safety qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH (Desirable but not essential)
