Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating kitchen operations, and implementing effective strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead restaurant staff, including bartenders and kitchen personnel, to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste.
- Develop and implement training programmes for new staff members to enhance their skills in food service and hospitality.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items that reflect current trends in the industry.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures, to drive profitability.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry is essential.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and customers.
- A background in bartending or knowledge of beverage management would be advantageous.
- Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.
