Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Level 3 qualified vehicle technician and MOT tester to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. £17.00 Per hour
8.30am-5.30pm
Monday-Friday
Occasional Saturdays required 9am-12.30pm
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify faults or potential issues
- Diagnose mechanical problems using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment
- Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prolong equipment lifespan
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety standards are upheld at all times
- Assist in the installation of new machinery or upgrades as required
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all maintenance activities
Experience
- Level 3 Qualified vehicle technician (Required), MOT Tester qualification (Required)
- Proven experience as a vehicle technician, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and electronic testing equipment is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
