About You
We’re looking for the right person to join our well-established, dedicated, and friendly team of Support Workers. You’ll provide support and assistance to individuals in their homes and in the community within the following areas; Yeovil, Mendip Martock, Crewkerne, Curry Rivel, Taunton, Ilminster, Chard, Langport, and Somerton. (Travel by car is reimbursed)

Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with day-to-day tasks including shopping, finances, cooking, appointments, and housework.
- Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Be enthusiastic and creative in helping clients pursue their hobbies and interests — which can include a wide range of activities.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car with business insurance to take clients out into the community.
- Be flexible with travel to locations as required.
- Complete any additional training needed for the role — including shadow shifts, basic first aid, and working towards your Care Certificate if you don’t already have one.
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and/or learning disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
- Ability to deliver person-centred support and adapt to each individual’s needs.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Confidence to work independently and follow care plans accurately.
Hours of Work
We have full time, temp, bank and part time positions available, this is a variable hours contract with an expectation of working approx. 20 -40 hours per week)
Shifts are weekdays with some weekend work, between 8am – 6pm, on a two-week rolling rota.

Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour.
