Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
As a Portfolio Manager, you will lead the development and performance of a portfolio of professional development and learning products. Working closely with SMEs, product, research and commercial teams, you will ensure content is insight‑driven, aligned with industry developments and delivers strong commercial and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full lifecycle of learning and development products, ensuring alignment with product strategy and organisational priorities.
Conduct market research and testing to ensure content reflects customer needs, industry trends and regulatory developments.
Define learning outcomes and product design in collaboration with SMEs and internal teams, ensuring relevance across different learner levels.
Manage and support SMEs, trainers and authors, ensuring consistent quality across product development and delivery.
Collaborate with product, delivery, marketing and sales teams to develop pipelines, drive engagement and position products effectively.
Monitor portfolio performance using data and feedback, taking action to improve quality, customer satisfaction and profitability.
About You
You are a commercially minded product or portfolio professional with strong experience in learning, training or content‑led environments. You combine insight‑driven thinking with strong stakeholder management and thrive in roles where you can shape and improve product offerings.
Skills & Experience:
Experience developing and managing commercially viable products within learning, training or events environments.
Strong research and analytical skills, able to identify trends and translate insight into product decisions.
Good understanding of professional standards, regulatory requirements or industry developments.
Strong organisational and project management skills, able to manage complex product pipelines.
Commercial awareness with the ability to assess performance, profitability and growth opportunities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills across internal and external partners.
