M&A Project Manager - Leading the technology integration of a recently acquired business
Day rate contract - 6 months duration - Outside IR35
This is a delivery-focused role responsible for planning and executing the integration of systems, data, infrastructure, and processes to ensure the acquired entity is successfully aligned with the core technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end technology integration delivery
- Build and manage the integration plan across applications, infrastructure, data, and security
- Drive delivery against agreed timelines and milestones
Define and manage integration scope

Work with business and technology stakeholders to confirm: what is being integrated, what is being retained, what is being decommissioned
Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Work across Technology, Digital, Data, Commercial, Operations, and external partners
- Ensure alignment across multiple workstreams and dependencies
Drive decisions and resolve blockers
- Identify risks and issues early
- Escalate where needed and ensure timely resolution
Manage vendors and third parties
- Coordinate system providers, integration partners, and external consultants
- Ensure deliverables are clear and aligned to integration goals
Track progress, risk, and cost

Provide clear reporting on: progress against plan, risks and dependencies, integration costs and investment requirements
Ensure business continuity
- Balance integration with ongoing operations
- Minimise disruption to customers and internal teams
Key Deliverables
- Integrated technology roadmap and plan
- Clear cutover and migration plans
- Defined target architecture (where applicable)
- Regular programme reporting (status, risks, decisions)
- Successful integration of priority systems and processes
- Documented handover into BAU / support model
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in M&A / integration programmes
- Strong background in technology delivery (applications, ERP, CRM, infrastructure, or digital)
- Experience managing complex, multi-workstream programmes
- Ability to operate at both strategic and delivery level
- Strong stakeholder management across senior business and technology teams
