Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our team. As a dedicated Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for providing great customer service both internally and externally. The collection assistants within the Finance Services section have the responsibility for the collection of all invoice types (excluding DUoS invoices).

Key Responsibilities
- Chasing of overdue invoices for all invoice types (but excluding DUoS invoices).
- Data input, manipulation and validation.
- Assist in taking Collection queries.
- Creation of reports to monitor the overdue invoice count and value.
- Customer risk monitoring; and
- Providing great customer service with internal and external customers.

- Work collaboratively – Lead a team creating a strong team work ethic
- Good attention to detail
- Good level of IT skills – a Financial System and mainly within MS Office mainly Excel and Outlook
- Good customer service skills – telephone and email
- Planning & Organisation skills - Ability to work with high volumes of work in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to priorities’ workload for the team and provide direction and clarity on what needs to be done
Qualifications & Attributes
Essential Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English and Math at grade C or 4 (depending on exam marking criteria) or above (or equivalent)
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
- Higher qualifications e.g. A-level or degree in a numerate subject
- NVQ Financial/business qualifications with an understanding in financial receipting and reconciliation
