We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional classic pub food. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
- Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills and performance.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency across all dishes served.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Head Chef or similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of food production.
- Excellent cooking skills with a flair for presentation and flavour balance.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
- Exceptional leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Previous experience in menu planning, costing, and inventory management is advantageous.
