Hebden Bridge Schools Federation is seeking a friendly, organised and proactive Administration Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of our federation of schools. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy school environment, providing outstanding customer service and administrative support. The role will involve working across all three of our Federation Schools as required.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for visitors, parents and external agencies, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. You will provide administrative support across a wide range of school functions, helping to ensure our schools operate efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming visitors and handling enquiries professionally.
- Managing telephone calls, messages and correspondence.
- Maintaining pupil records and updating information using SIMS.
- Supporting attendance administration, including registers and first-day calling.
- Assisting with finance administration and online payment systems.
- Supporting HR administration as directed.
- Coordinating school meals information and liaising with catering staff.
- Managing school uniform sales and stock control.
- Supporting educational visits, extracurricular activities and out-of-school clubs.
- Maintaining admissions data, waiting lists and other school records.
- Providing general office support, filing, photocopying and distribution of communications.
