Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Class Teacher to start a full time role from September with flexibility on the year group. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to young learners, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic and personal development. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, ensuring all pupils are actively engaged and motivated.
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Support the social and emotional development of pupils through behaviour management techniques and personalised support.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
- Organise and supervise extracurricular activities that enhance the educational experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic progress in compliance with school policies.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the classroom environment at all times.
Skills
- Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to create a positive classroom climate.
- Effective teaching skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with pupils, parents, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Organisational skills necessary for lesson planning, record keeping, and managing diverse classroom activities.
