Monday-Friday 3.00pm-6.00pm Term Time Only.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Extended Services (After School) Assistant to support children in their after-school activities and care. This role involves supervising children, assisting with meal time, and engaging them in enriching programmes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment. Experience in childcare, teaching, nannying, or similar roles is highly valued. Fluency in English is essential.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist children with organising educational activities to promote learning and development
- Support children in participating in organised games, arts and crafts, and other recreational activities
- Foster positive behaviour and social interaction among children
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour
- Support the organisation of special events or outings as required
- Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for all children
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, nannying, or similar roles is preferred
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of child development principles and behaviour management strategies is beneficial
- Ability to work flexibly during after-school hours and adapt to the needs of the programme
Pay: From £15.90 per hour
