Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry and Cleaning Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our facility, ensuring all laundry and cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a professional standard. Previous experience is advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the Social Care sector in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers and dryers, ensuring proper handling of linen and textiles
- Sort, fold, and organise laundry items according to established procedures
- Clean Service User's rooms, public areas, and service spaces following health and safety guidelines
- Restock supplies in designated areas to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including storage rooms and laundry facilities
- Assist with general cleaning duties as required to uphold the organisation’s standards of hygiene and presentation
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently during all tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Care Home is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to handle manual tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the needs of the role
