We are seeking creative and enthusiastic Art Club and Creative Writing Club Instructors / Supervisors to run weekly after-school clubs at a primary school in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside. These roles offer children the opportunity to explore their imagination, develop artistic and writing skills, and express themselves confidently in a fun and supportive environment.
The clubs run term-time only, with each club lasting 1 hour per week (day and timings to be confirmed).

In addition, we are also looking to expand our provision and would welcome interest from candidates able to run any of the following clubs:
Musical Theatre Club and Singing / Glee Club, as well as Recorder Club, Percussion Club, Yoga Club, and Martial Arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise small groups of primary-aged children in art and/or creative writing sessions.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, imagination, and self-expression.
- Support children in developing confidence, curiosity, and enjoyment in their creative work.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and, where appropriate, parents regarding children’s participation and progress.
- Ensure all materials, resources, and activity spaces are safe, organised, and ready for each session.
Experience & Skills
- Experience working with children in schools, clubs, or similar educational settings.
- Ability to inspire and engage young learners in a structured yet enjoyable environment.
- Strong English communication skills for working effectively with children, staff, and parents.
- A background in art, creative writing, education, or related subjects is desirable.
Pay: £28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.0 – 2.0 per week
