Registered Manager (Ofsted) – Children’s Residential Home
Location: West End, Southampton
Salary: £57,750 per annum, plus generous bonuses (up to £25,000)
Hours: 40 per week, Mon–Fri, with rostered out of hours and emergency on-call duties

About the Role
You will:
- Lead and manage a 3-bedded Children's Home in line with Ofsted regulatory and organisational requirements
- Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, welfare, and child-centred practice
- Develop personalised care and development plans to meet children’s individual needs
- Promote therapeutic, trusting relationships between children, their families and the team
- Advocate for children and embed trauma-informed best practice
- Recruit, train, lead and develop your team
- Build positive relationships with internal teams, external agencies and key stakeholders
- Provide operational leadership, guidance and coaching to your team
- Oversee HR matters, attend meetings and maintain compliance with safer recruitment and relevant policies
About You
You will have:
- At least 2 years’ managerial experience within children’s residential care
- Ideally qualified to Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards) or a minimum of Level 4 in Children & Young People (residential childcare)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations
- Proven team leadership experience
- A professional, positive and supportive approach to role-modelling best practice and team development
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Undertake the Ofsted ‘fit persons’ interview if successful
