LSS Limited operates a fuel storage terminal in Maydown and is seeking a reliable, motivated, and proactive General Support Operative/Labourer to join our team.
The role involves overseeing and monitoring weekly ship discharges, alongside general yard duties, maintenance and operational support.
Flexibility is essential for the role as working hours will vary In line with vessel schedules. This includes weekends & bank holidays. Travel to other sites may occasionally be required.
Full Training will be provided. 45 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, supervise, and accurately record ship discharge operations
- Conduct line walks and ensure the safe discharge of product
- Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records
- Perform preventative maintenance and assist with tank cleaning
- Service equipment
- Carry out power washing, cleaning, and general upkeep of the terminal, yard, and jetty
- Ensure the site remains clean, safe, and free from debris and weeds
Requirements
- Strong work ethic with reliable timekeeping
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Flexible and adaptable to changing working hours at short notice
- Practical or mechanical experience is desirable but not essential
- Good awareness of health and safety practices & the ability to Identify hazards and take appropriate action to mitigate risks
- Strong communication skills
