Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and excellence in taste and presentation
- Manage food safety standards and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control procedures
- Train and mentor junior staff to develop their culinary skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality within the kitchen environment
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive food production experience across diverse cuisines
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
- Demonstrable expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Previous kitchen experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is required
- Experience in leadership roles within busy kitchens or culinary teams is highly desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles will be advantageous
