Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training, mentoring, and managing team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Oversee food production processes to maintain consistency, presentation, and taste
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
- Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience working in restaurant environments with high-volume service
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Previous experience serving customers directly is advantageous but not essential
