Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Premises Officer to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of our premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and leadership qualities to ensure the smooth running of our facilities. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across the premises, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems; identify issues and implement timely repairs.
- Perform welding, electrical work, and other technical tasks as required to maintain infrastructure.
- Lead maintenance teams or contractors, providing supervision and guidance on technical tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; update risk assessments and safety procedures regularly.
- Oversee building security, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the premises.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal departments or external clients regarding facilities-related queries or issues.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and safety checks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, or facilities management a advantage.
- Skilled in welding and electrical work with relevant certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience managing teams or contractors.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills in English; able to liaise confidently with colleagues at all levels.
