Birchwood School, a vibrant school community in Warrington, is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join our supportive team. In this role, you'll play a vital role in shaping the futures of our students by delivering high-quality Functional Skills programs.
About the Role:
- You will design and deliver engaging lessons that equip students with the key skills they need to navigate everyday life, including English, mathematics, and digital literacy.
- You will work closely with students to assess their individual needs and develop personalized learning plans to support their progress.
- You will collaborate with colleagues within the SEN department and mainstream teachers to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- You will play a key role in tracking student progress, analyzing data, and reporting on achievements.
We are searching for a candidate with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience delivering Functional Skills programs to SEN students
- A strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to unlocking every student's potential
- The ability to differentiate lessons and resources to meet the diverse needs of SEN learners
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- Strong assessment skills to monitor progress and inform future planning
