Job Overview
We are seeking a Farm Worker to join us. The ideal candidate will be involved in many different agricultural and horticultural tasks that support the daily operations of the farms. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about our biodynamic farming practices. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining the farm's productivity and ensuring the well-being of livestock and crops.
We are offering this as temporary 6 month position with an option for long term employment to a suitable candidate.
Responsibilities
- Engage in horticultural activities such as planting, weeding, cultivating, grass cutting, strimming and harvesting crops.
- Provide livestock care, including feeding and monitoring the health of poultry, sheep and cattle.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks associated with moving equipment, feed, cleaning out sheds and harvested produce.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in farming or agricultural roles is necessary.
- Familiarity with livestock and mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is beneficial.
- A background in horticulture and livestock care will be considered an asset.
