Basic Starting Salary: £55 000 Per Year
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Working Hours: Monday-Friday | 8 Hours | Afternoons

The Role
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will work closely with the maintenance, production and quality departments to identify and mitigate risks to critical assets and aim to reduce equipment failures, improve systems and maximise uptime. You will develop and refine asset care plans using reliability centred maintenance and FMEA principles and drive a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, utilizing Lean methodologies and Root Cause Analysis to eliminate waste and optimize operational efficiency.
The Continuous Improvement Engineer Responsibilities
- Delivering a long-term maintenance strategy.
- Failure analysis and elimination.
- Develop and integrate condition-based monitoring.
- Improve planned preventative maintenance activities.
- Improve production processes and maximise machine output.
- Analyse CMMS data, downtime trends, and KPIs.
- Lead root cause analysis activities.
- Create and enforce planned maintenance standards.
- Lead, coach and mentor the maintenance team in reliability practices.
