SEN Teaching Assistant – Hounslow

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a primary or secondary school in Hounslow. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming and inclusive educational setting. The Role:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging positively in lessons
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement individual support plans
- Deliver targeted interventions to support academic progress, communication, social skills, and emotional wellbeing
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Support students both within the classroom and during other school activities where required
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs
- Experience working within a primary school, secondary school, or specialist setting is desirable
- Knowledge of supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, SEMH, or other additional needs is advantageous
- Patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
