We are partnering with a high-performance B2B sales organisation in Salford Quays to recruit a commercially minded Business Development Executive. This role is ideal for sales professionals who excel at consultative selling, enjoy working to targets, and can engage decision-makers with intelligent, value-led conversations.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients. This is not a volume-driven, script-reading position – success comes from understanding client needs, positioning solutions effectively, and generating high-quality opportunities for the wider Business Development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively engage B2B prospects via outbound calls and email using a consultative approach
- Qualify opportunities by understanding client challenges, commercial drivers, and decision-making processes
- Generate and book high-quality appointments for the senior Business Development team
- Accurately manage and update all activity within the CRM system
- Work to clear activity, appointment, and revenue targets while maintaining high-quality conversations
- Follow up warm leads from marketing activity and previous interactions
- Share market insight and prospect feedback to support continuous improvement across the sales function
Who We’re Looking For
- Proven telesales or B2B outbound sales experience
- Comfortable working to targets and KPIs, with a strong personal drive to exceed them
- Skilled in consultative selling: asking the right questions, listening carefully, and tailoring your approach
- Confident, articulate communicator who can engage business owners and senior stakeholders
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and resilient, with full ownership of personal performance
- Experience using a CRM system and managing a structured sales pipeline
What’s on Offer
- Competitive base salary: £28,000 – £32,000
- Uncapped commission, with realistic on-target earnings of £12,000 – £18,000 in year one
