About the Role
HSN Building Solutions is looking for a reliable and hardworking Multi-Trade Operative to join our growing team. We carry out maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment works for local authorities and housing associations across London.
The successful candidate should have experience in a range of trades and be able to complete jobs to a high standard while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general carpentry repairs, including doors, locks, skirting boards, and kitchen units.
- Undertake basic plumbing work such as repairing leaks, replacing taps, toilets, and waste pipes.
- Perform minor electrical works, including changing sockets, switches, light fittings, and extractor fans (within competency).
- Prepare and paint walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces.
- Complete general property maintenance and repair tasks.
- Diagnose faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Complete jobs efficiently and accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service while working in occupied properties.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Desirable
- Experience working on social housing or council maintenance contracts.
