Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative with van driving experience to join our team. Duties
- Loading and unloading goods within the warehouse using appropriate equipment
- Preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Safely operating a van for delivery routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Delivering goods to clients or designated locations in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate delivery documentation and records
- Assisting with stock organisation and inventory management within the warehouse
- Communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Conducting routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and reporting any defects promptly
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, ideally with commercial driving background
- Valid UK driver’s licence
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is desirable
- A valid FLT licence would also be an advantage
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance routines and safety procedures is advantageous
