Position Title: Dispenser

Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Procurement of Pharmaceuticals Competitively.
· Monthly Audit of top 50 Prescription Drugs and Patients’ usage.
· Competent in accessing Patient’s Summary Care Records ( with consent ) to authenticate Prescription Queries. ESPECIALLY PATIENTS ON MONITORED
DOSAGE SYSTEM.
· Prepare Weekly Monitored Dosage Systems for Eligible Patients ( for Eligible Patients) in a Timely Manner.
· Reordering and Controlling of Stock Levels to Fill Prescription needs.
· HANDLING OF CONTROLLED DRUGS IN accordance with the UK MEDICINE LAWS. Storage of Controlled Drugs
· Register pharmaceuticals stored in The Refrigerator and Keeping and Recording Fridge temp Daily 2 - 8 oC
· For Special Patients to have a List of their Unique items and From which PHARMA Wholesaler to procure from. (Keeping Invoices for appropriate Endorsements to Prescription Pricing Authority)
· Seamless ordering of Stable Patients Repeat Medication every 28 or 56 days and prepare on arrival of Prescriptions for Patients to Collect or Delivered.
· Count and separate Complete Prescriptions and file away at the END OF EACH WORKING DAY.
· Able to Send Dispense Notifications for Each Processed ETPs at time of Completing.
· Send CLAIM for Exempt Prescriptions at the End of Each Working Day.
· End of each Month to ENSURE ALL (eligible) ETPs are claimed for.
· End of each Calendar Month to Complete NHS INVOICE from Prescription No’s Exempt, Paid, Then Totals Pack, Wrap and Post Prescriptions To NHSBSA. (Keeping Copy for Pharmacy Practice Records) ALL TIMES MAINTAINING PATIENT data CONFIDENTIALITY!
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
· Ability to handle work pressure with tact
· Good interpersonal communication skills
· Multidisciplinary Team workings.
· Ability to work Independently and with other Team members.
· Relevant Pharmacy Experience and compliant with Pharmacy Code and Ethics.
· Compliant with all Standard Operating Procedures in Community Pharmacy.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
· A Degree in science will be preferred /but not essential
