Location: Newton Abbot (projects within approx. 45-minute radius)
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Site Bricklayer & Working Foreman to join Unicorn Construction. This role is ideal for someone confident across a wide range of masonry and groundwork disciplines, with the ability to lead and deliver high-quality work on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of brickwork, blockwork, stone masonry and associated works, including:
- Brick and block laying (including loading out and site clearance)
- Fair-faced stone walling
- Groundworks and preparation for hard landscaping
- Patio and paving installation
- Drainage, excavations and foundation preparation
- Concreting of footings, slabs and oversites
- Work independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of your work
- Oversee, support and mentor junior bricklayers and apprentices
- Act as a key point of contact for client liaison where required
- Ensure materials are managed effectively to support efficient project delivery
- Work closely with other trades to ensure projects run smoothly
- Deliver work within agreed timescales and budget constraints
- Set out works accurately in line with drawings and specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised site
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience across brickwork, masonry and groundwork disciplines
- Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Reliable, organised and proactive approach
