Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcome upon arrival
- Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages efficiently
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required
- Manage guest enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change where necessary
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support team members during busy periods to maintain smooth service flow
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Experience in serving, upselling, and delivering excellent guest services will be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Familiarity with basic maths for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
