Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our team. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality
- Manage food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
- Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to prevent shortages
- Train new team members on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a positive team environment by providing leadership, guidance, and support
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent team management and leadership skills
- Ability to oversee food production efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Experience in menu planning and food presentation techniques
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of hospitality industry practices including serving and customer service excellence
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and management effectively
