Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated FEMALE Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals through home care services. Your primary focus will be on assisting clients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their overall well-being. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Maximum work hours available 20hrs per week. We are specifically in pursuit of individuals located in Leighton buzzard and can access the location with ease. ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AS WELL AS A VEHICLE to be considered.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help in the preparation and serving of meals according to care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Engage with clients in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
- Ensure that the living environment is clean, safe, and conducive to health.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities if required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essential.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is essential.
