Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a flatbed tipper lorry to transport materials safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent driving skills, and adherence to safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 flatbed tipper lorry in compliance with all road safety and traffic regulations
- Load and unload materials, ensuring secure and safe transportation
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet deadlines and optimise efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Assist with loading and securing cargo when necessary
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during operations
- Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and supervisors regarding delivery schedules or issues
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or tipper lorries
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for heavy vehicle operation
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate a flatbed tipper safely and efficiently
- Organised with good time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
