About Us
Bluelime Surveys & Architecture is a growing surveying and architectural consultancy delivering specialist surveying, architectural design, drone surveying, laser scanning, measured surveys, stock condition surveys and project support services across the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Building Surveying Manager to lead and develop our Building Surveying Division from our Erith office.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious surveying professional looking to take ownership of projects, manage client relationships, oversee survey teams and play a key role in the future growth of the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing building surveying projects from inception through to completion while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage and oversee a range of building surveying projects.
● Lead and support surveying staff and subcontractors.
● Conduct site inspections and surveys when required.
● Prepare and review survey reports and technical documentation.
● Manage project delivery, timescales and client expectations.
● Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
● Support business development and identify new opportunities.
● Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
● Assist in the development of new surveying services and operational procedures.
Requirements
Essential
● Minimum 3 years’ experience within Building Surveying. Experience in social housing, SHDF and HRB experience beneficial.
● Strong understanding of residential and commercial property construction.
● Experience managing projects and client relationships.
● Excellent report writing and communication skills.
● Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
● Full UK Driving Licence.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and surveying software.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
● Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline.
● MRICS, AssocRICS or working towards chartership.
● Experience within housing associations, local authorities or social housing sectors.
● Experience undertaking stock condition surveys.
● Knowledge of retrofit, planned maintenance and housing improvement programmes.
● Experience managing survey teams.
