Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Tramping Bulk Tipper Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. The successful applicant will have experience in commercial driving and be willing to tramp out most nights / all of the week.
Duties
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, compliance, and customer service.
- Assist with route planning to optimise delivery efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a HGV Class 1 Bulk Tipper Driver
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
