Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Saturday Front Of House Staff to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest service to contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for all visitors, maintaining high standards of service, and supporting the smooth operation of the venue during weekend hours. Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming environment
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages efficiently
- Provide excellent guest services, addressing any questions or concerns promptly
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables and service stations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
- Support the team in food preparation tasks when required, adhering to safety protocols
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables, ensuring a tidy environment at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies will be advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not essential
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
