Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Facilities Coordinator to oversee the maintenance, management, and operational efficiency of our premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Duties
- Coordinate and supervise all facilities management activities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Oversee the scheduling and execution of preventative maintenance programmes to ensure operational continuity.
- Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and contractual obligations.
- Utilise programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and troubleshoot automation systems.
- Co-ordinate external contractors during maintenance or installation projects.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all facilities operations.
- Maintain Risk Assessments and accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for audit purposes.
- Assist in planning space utilisation
- Respond promptly to facility-related issues or emergencies to minimise downtime.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervision within facilities operations or related fields.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Technical knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Demonstrated experience supervising teams or external contractors.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in maintenance activities.
- Electrical experience isdesirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication across teams. This role is vital in ensuring our facilities operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently while supporting organisational goals through proactive management and technical expertise.
Pay: £16.50 per hour
