The Activities Co-Ordinator will be accountable to the management team and will be responsible in ensuring that the Residents can participate in activities that reflect their individual and cultural interests. · Genuine interest in elderly people and their well-being.
· Previous experience in providing appropriate activities within this section of the care industry.
· Good budget skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
· To provide a well thought out set of activities that can educate, entertain and generally stimulate the Residents.
· Planning and organising activity programmes for Residents in accordance with their needs and wishes as recorded their care plans.
· Be responsible and work within the agreed budgets.
· Work closely with the other staff and Residents in developing suitable programmes of activities.
· Organise publicity and information about the activities being offered, displaying, distributing, and updating the information to Residents, staff and others involved.
· Investigate, develop and extend the range of activities and interests that the home can offer.
· Maintain and develop the information bank about community and other resources that Residents might be able to use in pursuit of their interests.
· Review and evaluate the activities programme so that it is kept up to date.
· Organise and carry out regular satisfaction surveys of the activities provided so they can be continuously improved.
· Attend and participate in Team Meetings.
· Regularly report progress to the Registered Manager on the activities programme.
SHIFTS:
24 hours a week (50p per hour enhanced at weekends).
Week 1 - 9am till 5pm Monday, Friday & Saturday
Week 2 - 9am to 5pm Monday, Wednesday & Saturday
Weekend day can be flexible, either Saturday or Sunday
Pay: £14.10 per hour
